Ice Climbing with Conrad Anker, One of the Most Famous Mountaineers on Earth
FOR UP TO THREE PEOPLE
DATE IS SET: DECEMBER 27, 2020
Conrad Anker is one of the most famous and heralded mountaineers of our time. He has summited Everest, the tallest peak in the world, several times. He found the body of pioneering climber George Mallory who perished in an attempt to reach Everest in 1924. More recently, he was a star along with mountaineer / photographer Jimmy Chin and Renan Ozturk in the spell-binding, award-winning film Meru about their perilous attempt to climb “the Sharks Fin” on Meru in the Indian Himalayas.
Anker, a fan of MoJo and a committed conservationist, is offering this remarkable chance to ice climb with him on a frozen waterfall in Hyalite Canyon south of Bozeman on December 27, 2020. It is the rarest of opportunities to see one of the greatest outdoor athletes of our time in his element and to hear some of his tales.
Ropes, crampons, ice tools, harnesses and helmets will be provided. Basic climbing skills suggested but not required.
