Soar Over the Coastal Beauty of Big Sur & Monterey
UP TO THREE PEOPLE
Monterey Bay and Big Sur along California’s Central Coast are known for ecological richness and natural wonder. This trip involves a personal tour of the Bay and coastline in the company of internationally-known conservationist and MoJo board member Michael Sutton, who as a 30-year pilot has flown over some of the wildest parts of the world.
You will join Mike in his Cessna Skylane, taking off from Monterey Airport. Previously, Sutton was Vice President of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and he is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to talking about wildlife and conservation. Among Sutton’s notable career posts, he was a federal agent busting wildlife poachers and was appointed to the California Fish and Game Commission from 2007 to 2015, serving as its chairman. At the Commission, he led the creation of the nation’s largest network of marine reserves off the California coast.
For fans of literature, you’ll also be treated to a bird’s eye view of writer John Steinbeck’s Cannery Row.
