Art not only reflects our values and love of nature; it can be a fun conversation piece to have on the wall. This signed, limited edition lithograph of Yellowstone Westslope and cutthroat trout has a backstory related to the artist.
Prosek is a nationally-famous artist, writer and naturalist. He gained critical acclaim as a 19-year-old when he published his 1996 book Trout: An Illustrated History that featured 70 of his watercolor paintings of trout in North America. Since then, he’s worked with the National Geographic Society to design a special exhibit on wildlife migrations in Greater Yellowstone and has been an artist in residence at several museums. With this collectible piece, Prosek created a beautiful piscatorial tribute as a way to advance awareness about two of the most famous cold water trout species in our country.
Like conservation totem species, Westslopes and Yellowstone cutthroats speak to the wild character of Greater Yellowstone and this print holding Prosek’s signature will make for a handsome addition to any wall.
